EU MATE

Objectives:

  • To inform the stakeholders on the state of the art of the mobility of apprentices and young people in IVET, basing on the European and National studies on the issue
  • To raise awareness of final target groups on the advantages of an increased mobility and on the perspective policies of the European Union
  • To estimate the concrete applicability at a local level of mobility schemes for apprentices and young people in IVET
  • To define a pattern process (actors, favourable conditions, obstacles, requirements, costs) and relating tools to implement the mobility of apprentices
  • To facilitate the actual application of mobility schemes through the development of  practical guidelines addressed both to economic and VET actors and to final beneficiaries (students and companies)

Approach:

The project is organized around three main packages of activity:

  1. information and awareness raising: seminars and workshops addressed to stakeholders to inform them and raise their awareness on the added value of mobility and on the EU policies.
  2. process engineering and business plan: after a feasibility study, the partners will proceed to the definition of a pattern process and tools for the implementation of a mobility project for apprentices/people in IVET. Simulation will be parallel and synergic.
  3. follow up: communication activities meant to gain the attention and help the final target groups to get acquainted with mobility. Dissemination actions towards entrepreneurs, school headmasters and VET providers directors. Framework agreement between stakeholders to encourage exchange of students and apprentices and to use project results when the EU mobility scheme should become effective.

Expected results:

  • Information of enterprises and apprentices/young people in IVET about the conditions of feasibility of logistic, administrative, and legislative character, the necessary accompanying measures (language training, housing, etc), certification of competences using ECVET, Europass tools, etc
  • Definition and testing of process, procedures and tools for the implementation of mobility projects of apprentices/young people in IVET between IT and FR
  • Availability of tested procedures and documents ready to use to activate mobility projects for apprentices for enterprises and schools/VET establishments
  • Awareness raising on EU policies and sensitized on advantages of mobility for final beneficiaries
  • Active involvement of stakeholders
  • Diffusion of project ratio and results beyond partners’ territories
  • Commitment of stakeholders to support EU future Erasmus-style mobility programme, using procedures identified by EU MATE
