Transnational Network
Objectives
Our project aims at the participative development and documentation of innovative modules for transnational individual mobility of young people in primary professional education as well as young workers and their certification.
Context of the proposition
In a report of 2004 the European Commission states that transnational mobility is a key success factor when aiming at the creation of a “European knowledge space”. The new integrated lifelong learning programme of the EU aims foremost at improving the quality and quantity of transnational mobility as part of the initial VET. A recent recommendations of the European Parliament and the European Council for the establishment of a “European quality framework for lifelong learning” underpins the immense importance of the European wide transparency of qualification and its documentation.
In this context main actors in the field of vocational training from four different EU member countries are joining forces in this project to develop demand driven modules for the reduction of mobility obstacles, by facilitating the practical implementation and by certifying the training.
The principal activities planned:
The activities comprise, but are not limited to: Strategy workshops, Multiplication seminars, networking activities, development of targeted databases, individual guidance for SMEs and their apprentices, Public Relations (Website, Project Flyer, Project Brochure, Articles etc.).
Expected results:
Within the project we will develop and document practical, innovative and high-level transnational mobility modules and their certification. The project will have also result in the setup of a transnational network of relevant stakeholders in VET form at least the four countries represented in the project Consortium, which are German, UK, The Netherlands and Spain. The practical testing of the developed modules will also be part of the project. It is intended to facilitate individual mobility projects through submitting them as a “Pool project” within the frame of the Leonardo da Vince programme (depending on acceptance of our Pool project application).
